It automatically detects subscriptions from your browser tabs and bank statements—all while keeping your data private with local processing.
Getting Started
Installation
- Visit the Chrome Web Store → Subscription Checker extension page
- Click Add to Chrome and confirm
- Pin the extension (optional): Click the puzzle icon in Chrome’s toolbar and pin Subscription Checker
- Open the dashboard: Click the Subscription Checker icon
Dashboard Overview
- Total Subscriptions: Count of tracked subscriptions.
- Month Spend: Total monthly recurring cost.
- Yearly Spend: Projected annual cost.
- Free/Pro Indicator: Shows your current account tier; upgrade for exports and cloud.
- Currency Selector: Change your default currency.
- My Subscriptions List: Logo & name, billing frequency, next renewal, urgency color, cost, and actions menu.

1) Scan PDF (Bank Statements)
- Download PDF statements from your bank
- Click Scan PDF and upload the file
- Confirm detected subscriptions to add them
2) Manual Subscription Entry
- Click + Add Subscription
- Enter service, cost, frequency, and next renewal date
- Save
3) Export Your Data (Pro)
- CSV Export: Spreadsheet of all subscriptions
- PDF Export: Printable report

Troubleshooting
PDF Scan Not Working
- Use text‑based PDFs (not scanned images)
- Keep file size under 10MB
- Try a different month’s statement
Renewal Dates Are Incorrect

Extension Not Loading
